
Our course is an intense 6 days in duration aimed at the less experienced cooks who want to work as a chef for a ski season. During that time we will develop and build your culinary skills to a level where you are confident and practised in preparing a weeks dishes from breakfast to cakes to a fantastic 4 course dinner. We try to maximise your time in the kitchen actually preparing the dishes that you are going to be cooking during the season.
Subjects covered in the 6 days:
A full day will be given over to the CIEH Food Hygiene Level 2 Award. This qualification may not be a necessity, but in this day and age of liability, safety is more and more qualification based. This award is recognised throughout the EU.
We will also equip you with a folder of information which will include all the recipes covered in the course as well as other helpful aids such as budgeting spread sheets and time planners.
The courses are intense as there is a lot to learn, but each evening does finish with a dinner party prepared by the students that ensures everyone gets a chance to relax and let their hair down.
