At Chalet Academy we have created a thoroughly professional training course. Unlike some other people who run chalet courses, we actually run current businesses in ski resorts. So, know exactly what is expected of our students in today's market.

Simon Sutcliffe has over 10 years experience in the winter tourism industry.  Starting as a chalet boy himself he rose to the position of Catering Manager for a 500 bed chalet company, where part of his job was to design and undertake the training for up to 60 trainees. He also headed recruitment and designed the menus, perfectly placing him to give the advice, experience and the all elusive contacts to help our students get on track for a successful season or career within the industry. He now owns and runs Sublime Dining, a high end catering company operating in the Alps and across Europe. Simon is enthusiastic and well qualified to train and find work for our students on successful completion of the course we offer.

We work alongside Freshtraxxx the coolest outfit in Chamonix and probably the Alps. With these guys we also have access to an entire hotel over the road with a professional kitchen for some demonstrations and large lecture area when needed. The Freshtraxxx luxury chalet we stay and work in is very well equipped with an exceptionally large kitchen with added extra hobs. It has fantastic views of Mont Blanc, a hot tub on the deck, home cinema and is only 50m from the nearest bar. They will also take on board our best students and are truly a great company to work with.
